...slight delay...

Rosie and I had to downgrade our "soft" opening to a "non" opening. We are disappointed not to be able to share this place with all of you today. But we have to be completely prepared and comfortable with what we are presenting to the world.

Thank you to all friends, family, and jewelry fans for your support and encouragement. Soon you will see what is behind door #1... Very soon.

Luxe will be featuring designs by the artists who own the store: Rosie Field and Heidi Brueggeman.

Rosie designs a unique line of clothing and home accessories called Rosamond inspired by the fabrics she uses: vintage saris, hand-printed velvets and chiffons, washed silk, and a rainbow of colors of silk dupioni. She is self-taught and has been manifesting her line for two decades. Formerly working with mostly bespoke orders, creating nearly couture frocks for her clients, she is now branching out into pret-a-porter for her first retail space, Luxe.

A textural delight of vibrant triangle scarves, original jackets, capes trimmed with fur and pheasant, as well as elegant bias cut gowns are just a few examples of her exotic collection. Rosie has expanded into dressing the bedroom as well with rich throws and duvets of hand printed velvets and washed silks, as well as constantly turning out pillows in selections from her museum quality collection of fabrics.

Heidi has been designing jewelry since 2003 and creates unique and colorful confections for Sugar from semi-precious stones like chalcedonies, amethyst, peruvian opals, and angel skin coral. In the last five years the line has evolved and expanded the line to include healing gemstone jewelry called Sharkaraa. Sharkaraa means "sugar" in sanskrit and is believed to be the origin of the word.

Luxe will showcase the ever-changing Sugar and Sharkaraa lines with Heidi working on site constantly offering new pieces. The store will also showcase a "gem bar" giving guests the opportunity to choose stones in order to create their own Sharkaraa healing gemstone necklace.

In addition to the artist's own lines above, Luxe will be offering pieces from lines designed and manufactured in Rhode Island and beyond.
